GFW IMPACT Review Thursday September 14th 2017

This is the wrestling historians first GFW (TNA) IMPACT Review
We start the show with a prerecorded segment where lashley and America's Top Team are bullying some of the Crew members.
The first match of the night is Braxton Sutter w/ Allie vs Garza Jr. Very good matchup but let's look at the description shall we (credits to wrestlezone for most of the review)
Sutter takes down Garza Jr. and locks in a modified rear naked choke. Garza Jr.counters into a headlock. Garza Jr. takes Sutter over in a headlock tack over. A tackle/dropdown/trip spot ends in a stalemate. Big Boot by Sutter. Garza Jr. kicks Sutter in the head. Garza Jr. climbs onto the rope but Sutter neck breakers him off the top rope. Garza Jr. lands a few clotheslines. Sutter drops to the mat. Garza Jr. tells Sutter to stop. Garza Jr. blows a kiss to Allie and rips off his pants. Garza Jr. tosses his pants at Allie. Garza Jr. tries to dive to the outside but Allie is in the way. Garza Jr. stops himself but he ends up tripping over the ropes. Sutter takes advantage and hits a gut wrench power bomb for a near fall. Garza Jr. kicks Sutter in the head, then lands a moonsault off the second rope for the win.

Then Allie and Sutter get in the ring hug and kiss but Allie pulls him back a little frustrated she is.

Next thing we have Is A IMPACT Grand Championship match new fans may not know the grand championship rules are mma style winners are determined by a panel of judges this matches judge's score and the judges this match is Dutch Mantell ( zeb colter) , Scott D'Amore and the Gobbledy Gooker ( I'm joking but the man who played him Hector Gurrerro was a judge representing AAA) the match is between IMPACT Grand Champion EC3 and representing AAA IS El Hijo de Fantasma and for the description we go to wrestlezone. Fantasma and EC3 lock up. Fantasma forces EC3 into the corner. Clean break by Fantasma. After another lock up EC3 locks in a side headlock. EC3 floors Fantasma with a shoulder block. Hip toss by Fantasma into an arm bar. Headbutt by EC3 for a near fall. EC3 locks in a front chancery. Irish whip by Fantasma. EC3 TK3s Fantasma to the outside. After the bell rings to end round one, EC3 bangs Fantasma head into the apron. The judges determine EC3 as The Winner of round one. Round two Suplex by EC3. Fantasma kicks out. Hurricanrana by Fantasma. EC3 gets to his feet but he is staggered. Running knee by Fantasma. Fantasma goes up top and lands a huge frog splash. EC3 kicks out! Jaw breaker by EC3. EC3 sets up the One Percenter but Fantasma counters and sends EC3 face first to the mat. Fantasma locks in a modified surf board as the bell rings.
Round two ends and the judges award Round Two to Fantasma. Round three EC3 rolls up Fantasma and instead of waiting for the count, EC3 double powerbombs Fantasma. Fantasma kicks out. Cross body by Fantasma for a near fall. Fantasma and EC3 trade strikes in the middle of the ring. EC3 tries a right hand but Fantasma takes EC3 down and locks in an arm bar. EC3 escapes. EC3 hits the TK3. Fantasma kicks out. Fantasma sends EC3 to the outside. Suicide dive by Fantasma. EC3 hits his head on the barricade in the process. EC3 catches Fantasma with the One Percenter as Fantasma is entering the ring. EC3 crawls to make the cover as the bell rings. Round three ends and the victor of the match and Still Your Impact Grand Champion EC3. Fantasma goes over to the judge representing AAA Hector Gurrerro and is very crossed and then starts attacking EC3 and who joins him a clown from AAA and that clown is......  Pagano. He hits the ring and they attack EC3. Eddie Edwards runs to the ring and makes the save. I smell a AAA invasion angle.
Next we head to Mexico where  the GFW Tag team titles are on the line instead of the normal match Konnan makes a Swerve Bro it's now GFW Tag Team Match: LAX (c) vs Ultimo Maldito and Hijo de Pirate Morgan vs Black Diamond vs Arkangel Davino vs OVE
We don't see the whole match but some highlights LAX retains.
Next is Grados farewell match
Grado vs William Weeks
Weeks attacks Grado as he is dancing. Grado hits the Grado combo. Grado hits his running boot for the win.

Winner- Grado

After the match, Grado thanks the crowd for supporting him. Joesph Park comes to the ring. Park says his office just opened a new sports division. He is going to sign Grado and apply for a work visa for him. Park gives Grado a contract to sign. Grado signs it immediately. Park says he is going to get Grado so much work he isn’t going to know what to do with himself.
Next we have a back stage interview where Johnny IMPACT ( John Morrison,Johnny Mundo, Johnny Nitro )
Says he's taking Low Ki to slam town
Att has lashley make the design he will leave impact wrestling but Jim Cornette says he has to face moose and ATT has to leave the building.
Next match X-divison Champion Sonjay Dutt vs Trevor Lee for Dutts X-Divison Title it's a falls count anywhere match and they mean that in the ring its back and forth then we see a pre recorded segment where it's hardcore bananas ( trashcans and etc) and then Eventually Lee Picks up The fall And Is The NEW X-Divison Champion.
Backstage Segment time ATT beats up Richard Justice.
Next match is a Knockouts match between Taya Valkyrie and Amber Nova

Nova dives off the top for a hurricanrana. Valkyrie catches Nova and powerbombs her to the mat. Valkyrie goes for the pin but she pulls Nova’s head off the mat to break the count. Valkyrie picks up Nova and hits her finish for the win.

Now it's the #1 Contenders match Between Johnny IMPACT and Low Ki
Description to wrestlezone
Low-Ki and Impact feel each other out. Impact takes down Low-Ki. Low-Ki takes Impact’s back and sits ups for strikes. Impact rolls out of it and grabs Low-Ki’s ankle. Low-Ki gets to his feet. Low-Ki kicks Impact out of the corner. Vicious chop by Low-Ki. Impact and Low-Ki play keep away, which ends with Low-Ki locking in a dragons sleeper in the ropes. The referee breaks up the hold. After a short break, Impact sweeps Low-Ki’s leg and hits a handstand leg drop for a near fall. Impact picks up Low-Ki and drives him into the corner. Impact charges in full steam ahead. Low-Ki gets his boots up but Impact counters into a sliding German suplex. Impact goes up top but Low-Ki cuts him off. Low-Ki puts Impact in a dragon sleeper on the top rope. Springboard head kick by Low-Ki. Impact kicks out.  Impact goes up top for the cartwheel elbow. Low-Ki moves out of the way. Low-Ki sends Impact flying into the corner after a running dropkick. Impact crawls to the ropes. Low-Ki tries the Warriors way, but Impact moves out of the way. Low-Ki lands on the top rope. Low-Ki hits the mat clutching his knee. Impact hits Starship Pain for the win.

Winner and NEW Number One Contender, Johnny Impact!

After the match, Eli Drake comes out on the stage. Chris Adonis attacks Impact from behind. Adonis puts Impact in the Adonis Lock. Drake puts Impact on the Gravy Train to end the segment.

Main event Segment time
Lashley says he has no choice between wrestling and MMA. Since he has been forced to, he has decided to just do MMA. He is going to be with his real team, his real friends. He is on his way to win a title in MMA. It’s his last night in the Impact Zone. Lashley calls Moose to the ring so he can leave the way he came: on the very top of this business. Moose walks to the ring.  As soon as Moose gets in the ring Moose decks Lashley. Lashley gets up and knocks Moose out of the ring. Lashley bulldozes Moose with a lariat. Lashley power bombs Moose out on the floor. Lashley rushes Moose but Moose gets a boot up. Lashley drops like a sack of potatoes. Moose and Lashley fight into the crowd. Moose hits Lashley in the head with a trash can. Lashley and Moose fight up to the stage. Lashley neck breakers Moose on the stage. Another big boot by Moose. Lashley tumbles down the ramp. Moose spears Lashley on the floor. Moose rolls Lashley back into the ring. The American Top Team guys hit the ring and attack Moose. Security tries to break it up but ATT beats the crap out of them and tosses them out of the ring. ATT and Lashley pose over Moose’s fallen corpse as the show goes off the air.

Well that was a fun IMPACT
